Russian pianist Julianna Avdeeva has won the 16th International Chopin Piano Competition, which wrapped up in Warsaw on Wednesday evening.
I had her placed as 3rd myself. The blog site http://chopin2010blog.com reviewed all 148 performances in mini-blogs, and got 4 of 6 prize winners right, but not in the correct order. Time will tell if this was the correct choice for a winner.
