Russia and Shanghai Co-operation Organization are taking part in anti-terrorism drills in southern Russia.

The military-style demonstration aims to teach participants how to co-ordinate both rescuers and hostages in the event of a terrorist attack in a public place.

A similar drill was also staged on the Volga River, where the instructors carried out a re-enactment of terrorist attacks.
