Russia's capital hosted an international 5 km race on Sunday as part of the country's "Running Day".
Runners ruled the streets of Russia’s capital, as car traffic was restricted on many of the central streets to make way for the estimated 10,000 runners.
Marathon participants ranged from celebrities to avid runners, who came to finish the 5 km ( 3 mi) run around the city center’s historic landmarks.
“I want to have a good time here. But I also want to know [if I] can run 5 km,” Olesya Kachanova said, gearing up for the run.

This is great event only I find it creepy that Russia needs foreigners to raise money in order to feed its orphans. This is intolerable. It must stop. I wonder if this guy wants to rise money for the tens of thousands if over a millions or more homeless poor and illegal immigrants in the UK?
