Russia joins missile investigation

Published 15 Aug, 2007 11:19 | Updated 15 Aug, 2007 15:19

Russia is sending a group of experts to Georgia to conduct a joint investigation into the recent missile incident.

The group includes top Russian Air Force officials as well as representatives of the Foreign Ministry.

Georgia claims two Russian Su-24 planes entered the country's airspace on August 6 and fired a missile on its territory which did not explode.

Russia has repeatedly denied any involvement in the incident.
