A direct flight connection has been established between Russia’s Vladivostok and the Japanese capital, Tokyo, on Sunday, informs RIA Novosti news agency.
It is nice that Japan and Russia are working together on this. They still have not settled their differences since WWII, over the Kuril Islands. Hopefully they both will be able to normalize relations.

Another direct links between Vladivostok and Seoul and between Vladivostok and Beijing should come next. And to give Vladivostok the necessary weight a Vladivostok Metropolitan Area (V.M.A.) of 1,5 million people could be created.
