This is what happens when a wild animal in put in a hostile environment where it is forced to entertain. It's a complete form of animal manipulation and abuse. And this animal gets shot and killed when he behaves like a bear? It's absolutely absurd to expect a wild animal to behave in any other way. These animals belong in the wild, in their natural environment.

Keep wild animals in the Wild. Stop torturing animals to teach them circus tricks, or don't be surprised if they rebel against who is torturing them.

Wild animals should never be used as a form of entertainment, period. The humans who interact with them on this level are putting their own lives at risk and it is their responsibility for whatever happens to them. You can't just dress up a bear or whatever and believe that they are going to behave as sweet as they look - anyone who would think that is beyond stupid. The wild cannot be taken out of a wild animal for they are one and the same. Animals are born to be wild and they should stay in their natural habitat.

No sympathy here. These animals are abused and humiliated their entire lives. I never patronize acts (including the circus) that use animals of any kind. No elephants, no bears, no tigers, no dogs. Leave the animals alone and leave them out of your acts. It's as if you have no talent so you coerce and browbeat wild animals to make yourself look talented.

Bears like to kill and eat other large creatures, including people. Male bears eat their own young, for heaven's sake (nothing to do w/so called 'global warming' - they do this for natural territorial reasons when their population becomes overwhelmingly large - which it is, despite claims by the Goracle). It's best for bears and people to stay away from each other. Using animals and people in this exploitative manner is evil. My heart goes out to the young men (and their families) - badly injured and dead - much more than to the bear. Nevertheless, bears are not here for our entertainment and should not be mis-used in this way.

I don't believe in using animals for entertainment but my heart and prayers go out to the family members.

I feel saddened for the family of the dead man, and I pray for the injured man to recover. BUT...my heart goes out even more to the creatures put on earth that have been caged and abused for our 'entertainment'....They are helpless. Humans are not. They are doing what nature calls for them to do; HUMANS are not. AND "NO"..I'm not a bleeding heart LIBERAL. I'm a nature-loving CONSERVATIVE.
