Vladimir Putin knows also that he is a ‘Man of Destiny:’ his dedication and devotion to Russia is beyond question. Vladimir Putin also knows how to make a news event and this spectacular of cool, strong, vintage Putin on motor cycle with thousands of strong hyper masculine patriotic bikers [not “the soft-touch Russia” Robert Bridge loves so much] will make a splash in the Putin hating Anglo American/British corporate media. There is no leader in West at this moment that can be compared to Vladimir Putin in physical prowess, mental agility, geopolitical skills and more. I see only peace and solidarity in the new closer relations between Russia and Ukraine.

IRAN strong by its people, principles and independence of its decision. Its history for 7000 years and perhaps more people are known for sophistication of scientific and political savvy population of about 80 million people and a large area and its people and Government. The question of the Russians is the State of hypocritical and can not cooperate and deal with it at all, specially these days, Russia became servant of America because of Medvediv.

@PR101: "There is no leader in West at this moment that can be compared to Vladimir Putin in physical prowess, mental agility, geopolitical skills and more" Well, why does France's Sarkozy come to my mind when reading this? ;-)

He should be a good example, especially to youth and wear a helmet. Without a helmet he looks like vain and publicity seeking politician. It looks like an image enhancing opportunity or photo op.divorced from the real world of motor cycling and public safety.

Vive la France! I respect your love for your country and the current president of France but what do Putin and Sarkozy have in common? It seems to me that Putin and Sarkozy have diametrically opposing public personage. Can you imagine Sarkozy in a fishing gear deep in the wilderness?

Thats a trike not a bike! The man needs some riding lessons!

He looked like he was having fun acting like a politician, and the crowd seemed to like the show. I bet his security team suffered chest pains about him appearing in a parade at all, much less on a Harley. The trike conversion was probably a compromise. So, it was a nice summer day and everybody had fun and nothing bad happened. The news is full of tragedies, so it is nice to see a bit of fluff once in a while.
