At least one person has expressed a sensible opinion about this mess - Yasen Nikolaevich Zasursky, who was there for us for a long time, raising independent journalists. Since he left all has changed, and now all we have there at the faculty of journalism at MSU are R'n'B chicks with sugary smiles and absolutely no idea what life's about.

Not so - it would appear that some brave students with some intelligence and knowledge of politics have reacted to this nonsense by producing a calendar of their own. Lets hope they also get off with less than a "mild lecture"

I do think some people are missing the point of this mildly erotic birthday calendar to Prime Minister Putin. These young women want to identify with Putin as an exemplary image of Russian masculinity. These young women see in Putin strong father figure. Putin is the only Russia’s politician at this moment with this massive appeal to Russia’s youth. This is part of his carefully cultivated political capital and mass appeal to new generation of Russians. I think Putin will win 2012 Presidential contest over the younger Medvedev who seem to lack personal charisma. Of course, there is no evidence these young women are not as cerebral as they are physically stunning.

Mister Putin is a very charismatic person. He is also sportive-minded and efficient. Young Russians love him. There is nothing wrong with that calendar (the girls are not naked). I wish for France to have a politician (man or woman) who could be so well appreciated. I feel sorry for our actual French anarchy which is the result obtained by what have done so many insane politician. Here the future is gloom. I also wish for Mr Putin to be again the Russian President in 2012. Bests Regards... Jean-Claude Meslin

Amazing that the school feels the need to lecture these students for making such a calendar. Who cares if it's not elegant? It's not vulgar, and not all that uncommon. Some people need to take the stick out of their ass.

Sorry but Russia is turning back into the Soviet Union.  The Duma is a faux-Parliament incapable of doing anything. Also Putin is using his wealth to fund propaganda targeted towards kids.  They need a peaceful exchange of power to take place.

i think for russia no matter: or it federation or it soviet union-bribetaking, injuctice and poverty takes "devastating effect" here. more than 70% of GDP of this country is picked by moscow. other cities and towns live in "total poverty".
