At a time of global economic turmoil, most people are looking to their governments for the answers. But some seem sure the future is written in the stars and are seeking celestial guidance in these tough times.
“Job security is the number one issue for 2009. For my clients, for everybody everywhere. Every body wants to know how to keep their job,” says astrologer Michael Lutin who recently retired from his 25 year career at Vanity Fair Magazine.
Looking to the alignment of the stars in order to predict the future, Lutin has forecast America's horoscope for 2009. Born on 4th July, 1776, makes the U.S. nation a Cancer Nation.
“Pluto is going to oppose our Venus. It's going to oppose United States' Jupiter. It's going to oppose the United States Sun. Those are astrology terms. What it means is, the rest of the world has to be taken into account. Over the next 15 years, there's no choice, America has to become part of the global world. Not the rich relative that feeds it,” Lutin adds.
The turn, he says, will be a painful one period of social and economic revolution that he believe Americans will have a hard time dealing with.
“Certainly by 2011, you're going to see a lot of upheaval… You're going to have a great conflict between the government's need to control and keep order and the human wish not to have civil or individual liberties curtailed. And that's going to be very big in this country,” predicts Lutin.
Lutin says the last time Pluto was coming into Capricorn was two-hundred and fifty years ago during the American Revolution.
“They were at the end of a seven year war. People were tired of the war. They went into a depression in England because the war was over and they didn't have any way to keep the money coming in for the war machine. So they decided if we send troops over to the colonies that will help to keep the money up,” Lutin reminds.
The eerie similarity of present day America is undeniable.
