I've read your story, this is going on here as I write this.My Mother lived through the great depprestion. She was in luck of living in Wisconsin at the time on a farm. She can tell you all about how hard it was even being on farm, her uncles owned them themselves. What is going on now is way to close to the same, the republican's of the goverment are the worst. The system here has always been more concerned with the rest of the world's front yard's.So much that they didn't notice there back yard's with the weed's going have taken over there own front yard's.When Bush moved from the C.I.A. to being vice president the country turned from not only over seeing your front yard alone. They also took up being Pirate's by useing the name Spreading Democracy.Unemployment in Calif. is reported to be 11% today if you add on another 5% you mite be closer to fact. There is a report of there being 20 million illegal Mexican immigrant's if you put that at 30 million you got it.The all time largest amount came in by way of the Republican state's and ther hiring. My sisters house is now back down to the original price it was 11 year's ago.3years ago it was worth 4 time's as much.Last year there was the presidential race.Obama won I'm glad, the other idiot had Palin who was sure that human's and dinosaur's lived at the same time.Noah's Ark had them on it,the BIBLE in her world says so.You see it could of been worse than it is now.McCain would of tried to screw her and had a heart attack, then Palin would have the so called code to fire the Nuc's.I beleave to a degree that in a few year's thing's in the world will be better. So lets wish the world good luck.

I was a small child in the mid-west born in 1937. I remember the older people talking of times past and yes I can remember some hard times. I find it amazing 70 years after the fact you can take some poorly collected data and make lies out of it. Of course you tell one lie and some nut case like the above says it is correct. Your facts are distorted and your vision blurred, thats the only way socialisim can work, fourtunately for a short period of time.

The facts are distorted or untrue. The work force wasn't necessarily for young people. it was a life saving work project for many families, who had nothing. True they were paid $30.00 per month, food, clothing, a place to sleep, but the $25.00 was not taken by the government. The $25.00 was sent to the families of the workers, which kept a lot of people from starving. I am sure some people went missing. People were moving out of the dust bowl, etc, seeking employment. California was one of the states that lied and entice people from all over the country to come. When they got their, most of the work they had, which was way overstated in order to get people to come, was more like the slavery of the black people in the 1860's. The government programs of the New Deal were not the most wonderful thing that came along, but was a great helped to people with nothing left. The great McArthur rallied his troops and burned, moved out people who were camped in Washington DC, trying to get help. This should never have happened in the USA. A lot of them were veterans that had served their country to keep it free. Cows and hogs were killed because they could not feed them, they could not sell them. The market was completely saturated with livestock. Many people butchered and ate them instead of just killing them, but without the use electric, the meat could not be kept very long. Most of the programs of FDR was a help to the people who were starving, but the real solution to the problem was solved by a well known man, Named "Hitler" When we became involved in WWII , the people began to get jobs and food. Their are many articles and books on the depression. Sure lots of people disappeared. Many died of starvation, many were murdered. Very few records were kept of people traveling all over the US trying to find food and work. Some work was given by the government to people to keep records

If someone claims the facts distorted, he should proove that claim, pointing to the false facts or whatever. Personal family tales could vary, but how could you fight the demography picture showing that people have missing in case of US, but fully accept the story of Ukraine famine, trusting without any doubt of that it using the same demographic calculations????
