Wailing blackbird gives Brits sleepless nights

Residents of Weston-Super-Mare in Britain had been kept awake at night for weeks by wailing sirens, car alarms and mobile phones. Nothing unusual about that in the modern world. The strange thing was that the racket was caused not by ambulances, cars thie

From dawn till dusk the feathered impressionist mimicked the sounds he heard during the day.  Ornithologists said it was all geared towards finding a mate. 

Locals say they were amazed when they discovered the source of the din.  At first, they said, it was entertaining, but then it became annoying.

Luckily the nighttime warbler has moved on, leaving the neighborhood quieter, and perhaps duller, after sunset.
