The legendary rock band, the Rolling Stones, have announced they will carry on their “A Bigger Band Tour”, into the summer of 2007. The group will give 27 concerts across Europe, including Russia.

Formed in London in 1962, the Rolling Stones have performed more than 20 tours across the globe. During their 1969 American tour the Stones were introduced as “The greatest rock and roll band in the world”, and since then they have proved this status more than once.

The latest worldwide concert tour “A Bigger Bang Tour”, in support of the rockers' album of the same name, took place in 2005 and 2006 and, as the band's lead vocalist Mick Jagger has announced, is carrying on into 2007.

It has proven to be one of the longest such tours ever. “A Bigger Bang Tour” had its official start in August 2005 in Boston, and since then the musicians have given more than 100 concerts across the globe. 27 shows are to follow in Europe this summer.

“I love touring in the summer in Europe, it's a really good feel. For me it is always a fun time to tour. We are going to quite a lot of places we have never been and that is always exciting, so I am very pleased to be going. I can't remember them all but we're going Bucharest, Kiev, St. Petersburg, Belgrade and others too. So, that is always exciting,” Mick Jagger says.

Mick Jagger is going to explore Saint Petersburg, but actually the band is not a newcomer to Russia. They performed in Moscow in 1998 as part of their “Bridges to Babylon Tour”.

The latest leg of the long-running tour will begin in Belgium on June the 5th, going across Europe to Ukraine and Russia and ending on August 21 with a show in London.
