Russian Miss World winner Ksenia Sukhinova will represent 42 countries at the Eurovision contest in Moscow. It will be the first time in history that one person will represent all the participating countries.
A creative team made up of Russia’s best make-up artists, image-makers and hairstylists have created 42 looks for the Siberian beauty queen.
By tradition, the country which hosts the Eurovision has to represent all the participants of the annual contest taking part in it. As a result, Matryoshka dolls usually stand for Russia, while the baguette is often used as the symbol of France.
The Russian organizers of the Eurovision Song Contest decided to put an end to clichés this year and asked the world’s most beautiful woman, 21-year-old Sukhinova, to become the face of the popular music contest.
Pictures of the versatile Russian beauty will appear on billboards all across Moscow, starting from April 17.
Sukhinova told the Russian daily Komsomolskaya Pravda that she was burning the midnight oil for four days working with world-class professionals, who also used computer graphics and special effects. “In some pictures I can’t even recognize myself! I had more than 40 different hairstyles and make-up,” says Sukhinova, who won the Miss World 2008 pageant in South Africa last December.
The 54th Eurovision contest will take place in Moscow from May 10 to 16.
