Students of St. Petersburg's State University have presented their latest production in Moscow's Meyerhold Centre. The performance “Baby” is written by one of the most outstanding Lithuanian dramatists Marius Ivashkyavichus.

It is about people separated by time and space. One of the characters Silvia lives in Lithuania. Her father was exiled to Siberia during the World War 2. He survived there despite cold and hunger and lives with a woman named Nastya. Her son Lyonya, “a baby boy”, went to the war. When the war was over Lyonya stayed in Lithuania, where he met Silvia.

There is no happy ending for the story – the parents never meet their children.
