St. Petersburg: scene of white nights - and tender nights

Victor Merezhko has given a very romantic name to his new movie. It's called “White Night, Tender Night”. The setting is, of course, Saint Petersburg, which is famous for its beautiful white nights.

The movie is about family life and the complexity of human relationships. Merezhko believes that this film is one of his most sincere, touching and relevant works.

A ten-year-old girl, her mother and her step-father form a triangle permeated by strained and deep emotions. The Petersburg white nights serve as a background for this melodramatic story.

“The most wonderful time in Russia is the white nights in Saint Petersburg. They are full of drama, mystery, love, parting, betrayal and delight. The white nights possess a very special spirit,” Victor Merezhko commented.
