Russian Premier League leaders, Spartak Moscow, have escaped being docked points after their supporters displayed a racist banner in a match at Krylia Sovyetov two weeks ago.
The banner contained insults directed at the team's new Brazilian player Welliton.
The club have been fined $US 20,000 but avoided a points penalty.
The league disciplinary committee decided Spartak could not be held accountable for their fans behaviour in an away stadium.
