Spain's Real Betis have been ordered to close their stadium for 3 matches by the Spanish Football Federation. It follows the abandonment of their Kings Cup quarter-final with Sevilla after fans' violence.
The Sevilla Coach, Juande Ramos, was forced to spend the night in hospital after a bottle was thrown from the crowd during the trouble. The Spanish Football Federation will also investigate the conduct of the clubs directors who publicly argued over access to a VIP box at Betis' stadium before the match. The remaining 33 minutes of the abandoned game will be played behind closed doors at Getafe’s stadium on March 20.
