Spain's Alejandro Canizares won the Russian Open, firing a final round six-under-par 66 to clinch his maiden tour title and a slice of history.
It gave Canizares his first victory in what was only his third European tour event, bringing a record for the quickest-ever win. The victory also gives Canizares a two-year exemption to the European Tour, alongside a place in the HSBC Champions tournament at the end of the year.
