Sharapova to miss Fed Cup semi-final

Maria Sharapova has been accused of putting her own interests ahead of her country by tennis officials after pulling-out of Russia's Fed Cup semi-final against the United States.
Sharapova was due to make her long-awaited Fed Cup debut but withdrew with a shoulder injury. Officials have said she has broken her promise to play for Russia.
Earlier, the world number two also withdrew from Russia's quarter-final with Spain with a similar injury.
