Pathological irresponsibility, drug addiction, problems with alcohol and the law…Here’s a portrait of Pete Doherty, the new star of pop culture. On August 27, he will give his long-awaited concert in Moscow’s B1 Maximum.
In March of this year, Pete released his first solo album “Grace/Wastelands” and will play the majority of the songs from it at the concert in Moscow. The debut album is assigned by the musician’s full name – Peter Doherty. Musical critics consider that he therefore wishes to show that he’s ready to start a new life – without drugs and fights.
It’s not the first time Pete’s concert has been scheduled to be held in Moscow. But before this time, due to various reasons, the concerts were cancelled.
Doherty is renowned for his decadent way of life and affairs with well-known UK beauties. His name often appears in scandalous headlines in the tabloid press, while self-damage and an insatiable love of rock'n'roll are his basic motivations. Apart from music, Pete has another passion in life – heavy drugs. In 2004, it became the reason why his band The Libertines fell apart.
Nevertheless, Doherty soon “rose up from the dead” and created the group Babyshambles, in which he plays from time to time with varied success, alternating music with infinite parties, arrests, attempts to get rid of his drug-addiction, public repentances and absolutely vain intentions of bringing The Libertines back to life.
