CSKA Moscow went into the final day of the Russian Premier League as champions but were still keen to get one over on city rivals Dynamo. And it showed as Igor Semshov opened the scoring for Dynamo on 35 minutes.

CSKA coach Valery Gazaev decided to give some of his first team players a rest against a Dynamo team who had just narrowly avoided the drop.

CSKA got back in it though just before the half-time whistle – Croation Evica Olic slotting one home. But all 3 points went to the blu-whites after Denees Kolodin poped up at the far post. So 2-1 Dynamo, but it was the CSKA men who were celebrating their second straight title

Meanwhile Lokomotiv have claimed third spot in the table and a place in the UEFA cup after their 1-0 win over Rostov. DramaneTraore getting on the end of a corner to grab the victory.

Elsewhere Zenit finished fourth and head into the intertoto cup after their scoreless draw with Tom. Rubin cemented their position in fifth and FC Moscow also finished with a top 6 spot courtesy of wins. Spartak had already secured second spot but ended their campaign on a high with victory against Krillya Saveatov. And Spartak Nalchik-Luch was a 0-0 draw.
