Russia's WBO heavyweight champion, Sultan Ibragimov, is preparing for his title bout against veteran U.S. fighter Evander Holyfield. The American, a multiple world champion, has held his first training session in Moscow ahead of the fight.

Holyfield will step into the ring just six days before his 45th birthday. Victory for Holyfield at Khodynka Arena in Moscow on Saturday would make him the oldest World Heavyweight Champion ever, alongside the great George Foreman.

However, Ibragimov will provide a stern test. An Olympic Silver medallist in 2000 and a record of 21 wins, 17 by knockout is an impressive resume.

The Russian was due to face WBA belt-holder Ruslan Chagaev, but he was forced to pull out with Holyfield stepping in.
