Producers of a new film about Lenin are hoping Leonardo DiCaprio will sign on to play the Communist icon.

Leonardo DiCaprio is a great actor. Since it is not a Russian project but a Hollywood project-- I do not see anything wrong with DiCaprio playing Lenin. Only , I do not expect a geniune representation of Lenin from Hollywood..
