English West Ham United have been charged over breaking transfer rules by the Premier League. It follows the signing of Argentine’s Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano in August from Brazilian club Corinthians.
Their contracts are owned by a British-based Sports Investment Company but the Premier League rules forbid players being owned by a third party. West Ham United say they will vigorously defend the charges.
