Following an A-list bash on the French Riviera on Saturday May 22, supermodel Naomi Campbell and her fiancée, Russian billionaire Vladislav Doronin are throwing a charitable ball in her honor in Moscow on Monday.
The posh ball to mark Naomi’s 40th birthday in Moscow promises to be no less classy than the party on the Cote d’Azur. It will not be just a party – it is an event that will make a salad out of star-guests, spiced up with art, fashion and design. And all for the good – within the party a fashion show from top labels (Dolce&Gabbana, John Galliano, Zac Posen, Givenchy, Versace, Yves Saint Laurent, and Christian Dior) and an art auction will be held in order to raise money for Russian charity funds, which support poor families and gifted children.
But to make Naomi feel at home, one needs to create a comfortable, familiar atmosphere for her…which in her case is achieved by gathering top celebrities and drawing all attention possible to the classy and expensive event. Well-known representatives of the fashion industry, musicians, movie stars, sportsmen, influential businessmen and politicians are to be among this evening’s guests.
Naomi’s friend, American pop-star Jennifer Lopez, and her husband singer Marc Anthony arrived in Moscow from France together, facing some difficulties with Russian Customs in the airport, to become the main guest at Monday’s ball.
After landing at a Moscow airport, the star couple had to spend two hours trapped on board their private jet, due to Mark Anthony’s luggage being examined by Russian Customs officers.
The ball is due to be held in the Capital City building on Monday night. The project, named NEON night, is being co-run with Roman Abramovich’s partner, Dasha Zhukova, who runs Garage Center for Contemporary Culture in Moscow.
