Following its long-standing tradition of organising displays of its new arrivals, Moscow’s Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts has opened a new exhibition of recently acquired works.

This time, engravings are the highlight of the event.

More than 500 creations have been added to the collection over the last two years. Only a quarter of that is shown to the public now, but the organisers say they have chosen the best and most interesting items.

The engravings feature works by famous Russian artists, such as Andrey Bisti and Andrey Gennadiev, as well as creations brought from other countries. Thus, contemporary Japanese artist Ryuseki Morimoto donated 43 of his calligraphic works to the museum.
