Moscow's Bolshoi Theatre signs contract with Credit Suisse Bank

For the first time in its history, Moscow's Bolshoi Theatre has signed a 5-year contract with a long term sponsor, the Credit Suisse Bank. The 150-year Suisse Bank is renowned for its charitable acts.

Since its formation in 1776, the Bolshoi has never suffered from a lack of money, as wealthy patrons have assisted with the staging of productions. However, the ambitious reconstruction of the Theatre has led to financial constraints, so the contract with the Swiss Bank will come in handy.

So, the Bolshoi has now guaranteed financial support, which means it can plan its productions well in advance. On its side, Swiss Bank considered it an honour to sign a contract with the legendary Russian theatre.

“We are proud that Credit Suisse is able to help preserve Russia and its cultural heritage and to help to continue the Bolshoi theatre's tradition,” said Mikhael Vlahovich, the representative of Credit Suisse.

The Bank recently celebrated 150 years of successful work in the financial market and is renowned for its charitable acts.
