Published: 14 December, 2006, 11:06

Moscow's French language theatre where amateur actors perform in French though it is not their native language, has been celebrating its sixty sixth birthday on stage.

Anyone who is eager to act on stage and is interested in French culture can join this theatre. There are children and grownups, from language teachers to computer specialists among the actors – some of these people have been performing here for over thirty years. You don't even have to speak French fluently. The company offers free language lessons. And you don't need to pay for the tickets either. It's all based on good will and enthusiasm.

The the anniversaty performance featured the scenes from plays by Moliere and Chekhov.
