Visitors at the Moscow Zoo can now catch a glimpse of two rare monkey breeds. A mandrill and a black-handed gibbon were born in January but only presented to the public early this April.
The mandrill is an endangered species and the Zoo is breeding them as a part of a European Programme. They can live for up to 40 years in their natural habitat which is the tropical rainforests of West Africa. The new addition to the black-handed gibbon family depends on its mother to look after him but he's expected to start eating on his own when he's six months old.
