An extreme New Year performance with motor stunts and pyrotechnics has been presented to children in Moscow. The show is based on the “Pirates of the Caribbean” film and Stevenson’s “Treasure island”.

The first Russian open-air stunt theatre, Moscow's Setun castle, houses the adventurous show, with Grandfather Frost  riding a bicycle and a wheeled pirate vessel appearing to the accompaniment of brutal Rammstein music.

“The children taking part in this show together with the grownups are the first year students of the stunt school ”Master“ It's their debut performance, a kind of an exam,” Igor Panin, stunt school ‘master’ explains.

Motor stunts are for the more experienced actors, including those playing the main roles: Jim Sparrow is a mix of Captain Jack Sparrow and Stevenson's Jim Hawkins.

All the characters are very colourful. Doctor Livesey from “Treasure island”, for instance,
combines passion for extreme sports with an experimental medical approach.

The Snow Maiden, Russian Santa's granddaughter, also has exceptional stunt talents. Aleksandra  Zhidkova, performing in the show, says, “My Snow Maiden loves extreme sports. Life is so dynamic today. Characters from fairy-tales should also keep up with the changes. ”

Children are welcome to join the stunt school. Moreover, it seems that they will do that easily, seeing how much they enjoy the show.
