Geocaches are hidden but almost never buried. Geocachers must adhere to guidelines meant to protect the property geocaches are hidden on, and the nature around them.

RT - thanks for this brief intro. Geocachers enjoyed spending hours with your team while being in fields playing the game. We just hope that there would be more on air and website about places of interest that we visited. Many of them need urgent attention from local powers since they're destroyed by time and vandals. All video I saw here had been shoot in Yaropolets, Volokolamsky region, about 2 hours by car from the city. There's beautiful but ruined church there which I believe could be repaired. Not only we play geocaching there but organised an ecological meeting trying to free the territory from litter. I would like that people know: geocaching isn't just a hobby and/or interesting game, we expand our knowledge of local history, nature, geography and culture, and are trying to do smth with careless treatment of these values. Again, thanks a lot for talking about geocaching at RT. CJ (aka S.Smirnov :).
