An exhibition of one of the most famous Russian contemporary artists, Oleg Kulik, has been on at Moscow's Central House of Artists for a month now. Before the event closes, the artist himself decided to lead a tour around the exhibition.

The exhibition in the Central House of Artists occupies several floors. And as many installations and art objects are displayed, there are even more opinions of this show of contemporary art.

Oleg Kulik himself decided to comment on his own show on “The Day Out of Time”, according to the Aztec calendar, when nothing is forbidden, as the artist himself announced.

He began his tour with a declaration of love to every living creature and the lucidity of his art intentions, showing an installation of a transparent bull.

“Mythology of many cultures begins with the bull. And our culture is no exception. The bull is the symbol of fertility, I mean in the field of art. But this work is not a part of the exhibition, I would rather name it ‘The Lobby’”, Oleg Kulik explained.

And the other floor is dedicated to the artist's lost expectations. One of the significant works there is a piece in the form of a glassy frame, inside of which the artist puts himself.

“I've left only one item from my previous period of work. I show it as a monument, as a gravestone to the impossibility of a true, sincere expression”, said the artist.

So, in the search of this sincerity and looking forward to some sacred feelings, Oleg Kulik headed to Mongolia. But even there, as the artist admitted, he had found nothing. Nothing, but the inspiration for his new installations.

The viewer just shouldn't look inside the monitor, warns Kulik, as nothing but disappointment is hidden behind the curtain.
