Russia’s Mikhail Youzhny has defeated Croat Ivan Ljubicic to claim victory in the final of the ABN AMRO World Indoor Tournament in Rotterdam. The final score is 6-2, 6-4.
The unseeded Yuzhny, not given a hope at the beginning of the tournament, secured the first set without much difficulty 6-2 and his back court winnings were just too much for the third seed in the second, winning out 6-4.It is the 24-year-old Muscovite's 3rd career ATP title, who should now see his ranking of 22nd in the world rocket when the next list is published.
