The Israel Film Festival is in full swing in America and Russia, showing films in Los Angeles, New York, Miami and Moscow.
It kicked off with the Academy Award-nominated animation film “Waltz With Bashir” which revolves around the Israeli Army’s mission in the first Lebanon War in 1982.

Seven films of various genres showing off modern Middle Eastern culture will be screened at the festival in Moscow till June 17. One of the highlights is Paul Schrader’s drama “Adam Resurrected” starring Jeff Goldblum and Willem Dafoe, and “Jellyfish” which won the Golden Camera award at the Cannes festival.
The festival was launched in America 28 years ago, which at the time could only show half a dozen movies. Since then it has become the largest showcase for Israeli films in the United States. It runs for a fortnight in the USA, screening over 30 films.
