The Embassy has invited expats and Muscovites on a Roman Holiday to have fun and help a woman who is seriously ill.
Elena Adamyants was diagnosed with leukemia a year ago. Since then, she has been through several treatments of chemo therapy, none of which were successful.
Her last hope is a bone marrow transplant – a very expensive procedure. Moreover, its success rates in Russia are too low, so Lena needs to go to the US or Israel, which would cost €28,000.
For over a year, Lena’s friends and colleagues have been doing their best to gather the money. The Luxembourg Embassy has also decided to help Lena.
