In the Champions League the showdown at Anfield between England’s Chelsea and Liverpool ended in a heart-breaking penalty shootout with the Reds winning 4-1. Liverpool are now through to the final, while Chelsea are out.

Daniel Agger's goal in the 22nd minute gave Liverpool a 1-0 lead, which stayed in regulation and then in extra time. So the game had to be decided by penalties.

Substitutes Arjen Robben and Geremy missed from the spot for Chelsea, while Dirk Kyut fired home the winning penalty for the hosts.
