For some, Kosovo Liberation Army members were freedom fighters who brought about the separation of Kosovo from Yugoslavia and Serbia in the 1990s. But for others, like the Serbs, its members were deadly killers who committed terror attacks against civilia
One of the KLA leaders, the former Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, is standing before the Hague tribunal accused of war crimes.
The prosecution calls him one of the deadliest killers in the Balkan conflict.
But the streets of Kosovo are full of posters saying “Ramush, we need you” – a message suggesting Kosovo is still uncertain if the fight is really over.
