Quick-fix: Team Russia’s yacht back in time for world race

Team Russia’s boat has won its battle to be ready for the start of the Volvo Ocean Race after it had been damaged in a collision last weekend. It was returned to the water on Wednesday after four days of being patched-up.

Team Russia has suffered another blow just 24 hours before the start of the Volvo Ocean Race with founder Oleg Zherebtsov pulling out due to the death of his mother. He will now not be part of the crew manning the first leg from Alicante to Cape Town.

Team Russia have continued to make strides during the second leg of the Volvo Ocean Race. Their Kosatka vessel crossed the latest scoring gate in fourth place, ahead of one final push to the Indian city of Kochi.
