Tuesday, January 12, 2010 in Moscow will have the Italian flavor that never goes out of style, with Francis Ford Coppola's much awaited black-and-white “Tetro” premiering and Taster's Choice rocking at Plan B club.
Coppola’s drama is a typically enchanting meditation on the question of family secrets.
Years after their father's death, two brothers meet in Buenos Aires and begin a dialogue that digs deep into the mystery of their family.
The film has been critically acclaimed for its visual effects and emotional core, which is laced with Latin spice. A perfect way to consume culture the easy way – “Tetro” opens at 35mm Kino Club, where screening starts at 7:30.
Metalcore with Italian temper – the Taster's Choice come to Plan B club (at Soviet Army Street in between Novoslobodskaya and Savelovskaya).
The band tried various genres but stayed with what is called tribal metalcore – a mixture of drums, bass strings, a guitar and stylish electronic effects.
Most likely, the club won't be overcrowded tomorrow night so if you enjoy this kind of music, it is your chance to get some metal-punk time in good company.
It is pretty quiet in Moscow's clubs after New Year holidays, but Propaganda hosts the regular “Got Soul” Tuesday party.
Rocket Baby Dolls play at FM Club – that's 15 minutes from Taganskaya metro.
And Oleg Kireyev's quartet plays jazz at the Union of Composers at Tverskaya.
