In the name of Kandinsky

Moscow has seen the opening of the Kandinsky art competition this week – the second in its history. The winner of the event, named after one of the foremost creators of abstract art, will receive no less than 40,000 euros.

The winners of World Press Photo, the influential photo contest, have been put on display at Moscow's Vinzavod Art Centre. And some of the award-winning photographers have come to Moscow to present their works in person.
