Dramatic footage has gone viral portraying a very lucky escape for residents of a downtown five-story building in Vladivostok that literally collapsed in hours.
The block’s residents had reported cracks in the walls appearing before their eyes to emergency services, who immediately evacuated everyone from the building. Not long after, the walls gave way and literally collapsed on to the street, covering the area with a coat of dust.
The lucky escape has prompted the city mayor to review all potentially hazardous housing stock in the Far-Eastern capital.
