Hollywood legend Jon Voight has paid tribute to the Russian who pioneered so-called ‘method acting’ – Konstantin Stanislavsky. On a visit to the Stanislavsky Museum in Moscow, Voight said the Russian director had been ‘part of my life’.

Voight – the father of actress Angelina Jolie – has won admiration for the psychological realism of his portrayal of flawed characters.  He starred in Midnight Cowboy in 1969 and won an oscar for his performance in Coming Home in 1978.
