Grammy Awards with political trace

This year's Grammy Awards ceremony has suddenly turned into an event with a political context. Five Grammy Awards, including best album of the year, went to American trio The Dixie Chicks.

Four years ago the trio from Texas openly criticized U.S. President Bush for the war in Iraq. Almost overnight, one of the most successful groups disappeared from the radio waves.

But now it seems that the political climate has changed and it is time for the sweet vindication. The Dixie Chicks won all the biggest categories including Best Album, Best Record, Best Song as well as Best Country Album, which looks a bit ironic, given that the Chicks don't consider themselves to be country artists anymore.
