Russia’s ‘Maria’s Children’ charity and the Norwegian embassy decided to bring some Christmas spirit to those less fortunate.
A program for this special event for children from Moscow’s orphanages is entertaining as well as educating.
The art school includes an elementary course in drawing and painting, but also teaches orphans how to just have a good time.
The main part of the event is a visit by the Norwegian Santa, "Julinesse", who came all the way from Norway to hand out presents to the children.
And a dance performance by the children’s theatre, "Maskarad", is supposed to prepare the audience to see Russian ballet star Anastasia Volochkova who joined Santa in the visit.
