Clashes between protesters and police in Kyrgyzstan have continued on Wednesday, spreading to the capital Bishkek. Human rights organizations have described the situation in the country as "complex."
Four people have been killed and eight others injured in a fire at the Nairit rubber plant in the Armenian capital Yerevan. It has been reported that no poisonous substances were released into the atmosphere.
As the interim government tries to stabilize the situation in Kyrgyzstan, acting Prime Minister Roza Otunbayeva has issued an authorization to shoot at looters.
Kyrgyzstan’s interim government has lifted the state of emergency. Now it is on the hunt for the former president's brother and for money laundered during his escape.
The powerful mine blasts in Russia’s Siberia have taken the lives of 52 miners, leaving dozens trapped underground. Some, however, managed to narrowly avoid the disaster.
