God's Country was an interesting article. This issue does not only pertain to religion, but is applicable to any location and to many diverse issues on this planet earth.. Fear of change, invasion of privacy and norm for regions and its people. Perhaps normal, and as old as territorial rights dating back to pre homo sapiens. Large scale, small scale: Palestine, Israel, North Korea, South Korea, Tiennamin Square, Tibet, Taiwan, Darfur, Somalia - all endless, and without substantial reason. A small communities fear of a Muslim Invasion, particularly since 09-11-2001. I believe that genetically, through instinct, that fear of change is natural, no matter what situation or issue is at hand. But, to be more upbeat - 1.6 million Muslims live in the city of Dearborn, Michigan, U.S.A. I wonder if Iran, has large Christian Communities or Churches ? At least the U.S.A. somehow, still maintains itself as a diverse melting pot of worldwide ethnenticity, diversity, multi facted religion spectrum, and in the end - finds a place for all of that and more. God Bless this Earth, its peoples, countries, and help them find in their hearts - ways to make it more peaceful, secure, and economically separated from greed, political, religious, and warlike interests. P.S., I enjoy reading your articles from time to time.
