They are often described as a “rare species”, notorious for their lack of IQ and sense of humor. Now, blondes all over the world are celebrating their very own special holiday on May 31.
The red-letter day of the fair-haired ladies was established in 2006. That same year the first-ever award ceremony celebrating the most glamorous Russian blondes “Diamond Stiletto” was held in Moscow.
Scientists predict that by the year 2202, blondes will disappear from planet Earth. Over the last 50 years, the number of natural blondes in the world has shrunk from 49% to 14%.
But the number of jokes “praising” platinum blondes is growing day by day, as well as the quantity of hair dye sold around the world.
“What do UFO’s and smart blondes have in common? – You keep hearing about them but never see any.”

“Why is it good to have a blonde passenger? – You can park in the handicap zone.”
“Why do blondes love lightning? – They reckon somebody is taking their photo.”
It seems that there are more bad jokes about blondes than blondes themselves.
Despite harsh criticism and nasty accusations, one of the most famous (and typical?) blonde representatives, Pamela Anderson, says it's great being blonde – “With such low expectations it's easy to impress.”
Ladies and gentlemen, forget your “basic instinct” for a minute, as well as Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson and Britney Spears. Smart and platinum can go together, as proved by Sharon Stone, Marilyn Monroe, Catherine Deneuve, Scarlett Johansson, Uma Thurman and Charlize Theron, to name just a few.
Perhaps, those who pick on blondes simply seek as much attention. How do you keep a blonde in suspense? – I’ll tell you tomorrow.
