While most people do all they can to avoid the cold, members of a winter-swimming club in Siberia like nothing more than getting out in freezing temperatures. It's all part of an ancient tradition of winter-bathing in Russia.
In the city of Barnaul, more than a dozen people took to the streets in temperatures of -21C, to skate and play volleyball. Later they marched dressed only in bathing suits.
The event was designed to prove that braving sub-zero temperatures au naturel is not only possible, but beneficial to health.
