Roger Federer won at the Dubai Open on the day he officially became the player who's been at number one in the world for the longest time ever. He registered his 161st week at the top, beating Jimmy Connors's 30-year old record.
The main man beat Kristian Pless in the first round of the Dubai Open. Federer took the first set on a tie-break, he got to the top by playing the big points better than the others and that is why he stays at number one.But the Danish player ranked 86th in the world made it one set-all after an hour. Pless took it 6-3.However, Federer took the deciding set 6-3 after a top spin backhand was too hot for his opponent.Next Federer will play against Igor Andreyev.
