Tired of spending all your money on expensive clothes? Borrow fresh ideas from “the patriarch of Russian fashion,” Slava Zaitsev, who presented his collection at Russian Fashion Week.
The quintessential Russian designer called his spring-summer collection “Despite the Crisis.” Zaitsev told RT why.
“We created it thinking about the financial crisis,” he said. “Despite the fact that sales are going down, we are still trying to create beauty. We’ve used Russian fabrics and shoes which are cheaper, so this time around my collection isn’t chic. The colors are simple, the lines are straight and prices accessible.”
One of the best-known Russian designers, Zaitsev has been in the fashion business for almost 5 decades and has seen it all. He’s not trying to impress anybody with his creations. He is simply doing his favorite job, never sacrificing quality, time and energy.
His advice for surviving the crisis is to take time out from luxury and invest in your internal beauty.
Wearing Zaitsev’s designs next summer could indeed save some money for another rainy day…
